Having entered my 30s this year, I have been looking to integrate products that not only nourish and protect your skin but also work to target early signs of ageing.
Enter the Ultimate Serum by The Jojoba Company, aka my latest skincare obsession.
You can often assume that something labelled ‘natural’ will not be as effective as the tongue twister formulations from cosmeceutical brands.
This serum has a powerful mix of ingredients designed to plump, tighten and improve skin firmness. It rejuvenates and hydrates the skin, making it the perfect ‘everyday serum’ for anyone looking to address signs of ageing while promoting healthy skin.

The Jojoba Company Ultimate Serum Review
The Ingredients
HumaColl21™
A type of vegan collagen, similar to other anti-ageing actives such as retinol. It works to stimulate collagen production and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Hyaluronic Acid
Intensely hydrates the skin by holding up to 1000 times its weight in water. Provides benefits beyond hydration including smoothing, increasing elasticity and improving skin firmness.
Ameliox™
Ameliox is a combination of milk thistle and carnosine and is a naturally derived peptide that provides anti-ageing benefits and encourages healthier skin.
Kakadu Plum
One of my favourite native ingredients, Kakadu Plum is packed with antioxidants. It works to fight free radical damage and protect the skin, helping prevent hyperpigmentation, fine lines and other signs of ageing.
The Verdict
The texture of this serum is incredible and worth the price point alone. It’s lightweight and absorbs into the skin effortlessly. It has a silky consistency that glides over the skin as you apply.
Immediate impressions are that it leaves your skin surface soft, supple and glowing. Plus, it doesn’t leave any oily or greasy residue on the skin or pile under other skincare products or makeup.
After using The Ultimate Serum for a few months now I have noticed an improvement in the firmness and texture of my skin.
While I don’t have particularly sensitive skin, I have noticed many other reviewers note how it’s gentle and doesn’t inflame or irritate their skin.
Downsides and Considerations
The consideration of this serum is, of course, the price. At almost $70 AUD it’s not cheap and if you are using it every day you could find it being used up quickly.
The only other downside is the gold pump – it feels and looks a little cheap and some users have noted it flakes after a while.
