It’s easy to obsess over the latest and greatest skincare products for your face, however, body care products can often be an afterthought when it comes to your routine.
Body care products can help with various concerns by nourishing, tightening, moisturising and even tackling ageing skin. With the holiday season underway, I find body care products make amazing gifts as facial skincare products generally have to be tailored to the receivers skin type.
With that in mind, we have put together a list of some of our favourite and most luxurious body care products.
Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Treatment
There’s a lot to love about Aesop; the minimalist branding, beautiful fragrances and best of all, made in Australia. The Geranium Leaf Hydrating Body Treatment is the perfect addition to the beauty minimalists’ shelf. It’s a quick-drying hydrating and intensive oil to restore dry and tired bodies. It’s packed with a blend of botanicals and infused with Vitamin E and nut oils that work to hydrate and nourish the skin. This body oil will be your best friend post-dip in Summer.
Aceology Cheeky Butt Mask Trio
The Aceology Cheeky Butt Mask Trio brings a whole new meaning to head to toe skincare. Step up your next pamper session with a sheet mask — for your butt.
The trio contains 3 different butt masks to tackle various skin concerns; Smooth Operator packed with licorice extract to soothe and smooth angry skin, I’m Bouncy containing restoring peptides (aka amino acids) which trigger skin cell renewal and collagen production and finally, Juicy Peach drenched in Hyaluronic Acid to moisture and plump the skin.
Oribe Cote d’Azur Luminous Hair & Body Oil
I love multi-purpose beauty products which is why I wanted to include the Luminous Hair & Body Oil in the roundup.
This luxurious oil is fast-absorbing and can be applied to both the body and hair. The scent alone it’s one of the best features. Its comprised of Calabrian bergamot, white butterfly jasmine and sandalwood.
Not only does it smell incredible, but the oil is also formulated with a blend of nourishing oils including sweet almonds, meadowfoam and starflower that work to soften and leave your skin glowing.
Minenssey Cleansing Body Wash
As a sucker for minimalist packaging, I adore the skin and body care range from Minenssey.
However, the Cleansing Body Wash is much more than its beautiful packaging.
It’s packed full of Australiana botanical ingredients like Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Pink Grapefruit and deep nourishing Macadamia and Jojoba Oils.
The ingredients work to gently cleanse the skin without disrupting its natural moisture barrier, leaving it soft and supple.
Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil
While I find some Clarins face skincare products to be a little irritating thanks to the fragrance, the divine Tonic Body Treatment Oil is a must-have.
The oil hydrates and nourishes the skin with natural plant extracts and aromatic essential oils such as Hazelnut. The oil is fast drying and works to firm, tone and improve skin elasticity.
Pop this on post-shower for a luxurious nightime routine.
Tan Luxe The Gradual
We can’t talk about body care products without a self tanner. The Gradual from Tan Luxe is an amazing self-tanner complement to your body care routine. Whether you’re topping up a fading tan or just need a natural-looking glow, The Gradual will do the trick.
Nécessaire The Body Lotion
If you’re willing to fork out the shipping costs, The Body Lotion should be your next bougie body care product purchase.
Its fast-absorbing and packed with multi-vitamins such as Vitamin A, Vitamin B³, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Omega-6 and Omega-9 to moisturise and nourish your skin. The Body Lotion is formulated with a unique mix of luxe oils — Marula, Cacay and Meadowfarm which work to infuse the skin with the aforementioned vitamins and soften the skin.
The only downside is of course the size — it comes in a 200ml bottle. With that in mind, it’s perfect to pop in your handbag for moisturising on the go.
